Are 2017 Dodge Grand Caravans AWD

The Dodge Grand Caravan is one on the longest standing vehicles in the Dodge lineup. The Dodge Grand Caravan does not come with all-wheel drive (AWD) in 2017, but it does come with All-Speed Traction Control.

What is All-Speed Traction Control?

All-Speed Traction Control monitors wheel slippage. If one wheel starts to spin, All-Speed Traction Control can apply brake pressure to the wheels that are slipping. It can also reduce engine power to maintain traction and stability when necessary.

The 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan is fitted with the award-winning 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine that puts out an impressive 283 horsepower. The coolest thing about the Pentastar® engine is that it can function with unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87, E-85, or a mixture of the two.

One of the only times you’ll ever *really* need to use all-wheel drive is if you’re stuck in a pile of snow or you plan to travel through a muddy farm field. All-wheel drive can certainly come in handy when your vehicle is stuck in the ground, but it isn’t necessary all the time. With All-Speed Traction Control combined with the weight of the minivan, you’ll have no problem maneuvering in the snow!

The Dodge Challenger ads available AWD capability in 2017. The Challenger can seamlessly switch between rear-wheel drive and AWD. One of the most obvious benefits of AWD capability is improved traction during inclement weather. AWD also provides a boost in traction on dry pavement as well. You’ll notice a difference when starting from a stop, or when quickly moving through a corner.
